The house i am staying in is almost half a century old. Everything is falling apart, the floors and walls are cracking up, the ceiling is leaking, tiles are displaced... you get the picture. Even though we have already sold the house, we are not due to move out until Feb 2011.

Just yesterday after my bath I was selecting what to wear from the closet. Then there was this loud BANG from behind me. I turned around and to my shock and horror, the cornice covering half the perimeter of the room fell off. If i were standing at the other side of the room, i would have been hit! I might have died! I suddenly feel so blessed.

I think we should move out earlier than planned. I am afraid the house will collapse soon..

My new niece has arrived!.. She has so much hair, just like me when i was born.

As you can see from Lucas's expression, he does not like to visit the hair salon. Even before we entered the salon he had this really worried and sian look on his face.

Poor gong gong must carry him while Lucas cuts his hair.. And of cos he cried throughout the whole hair cut.
To appease the little prince, we promised him his favourite food after the cut... Mac Mac!

.. Of an era

I am so sad..

ChAnGeD..

I realised i have changed.. I have become less tolerant, more temperamental, and stronger.

I try to stand up for myself and not allow others to climb all over me..

I am no longer the accommodating, sweet and push over girl i used to be (at least lesser of that)

Although this is not what i hoped to be but experiences and situations has forced me to turn into this.

I hope this is a change for the better..

It's our 57th month anniversary today..

But i am going Genting tonight.. without him
I will be leaving him here..
I feel bad..
Wont see him over the weekend..

I know he will be busy with ippt and work..
It's just 3 days but I am still gonna miss him very much..
I know he will miss me too..

PhUkEt AgAiN

In exactly 1 year we were back in Phuket again.. I love Phuket and it helps that air tickets there on Jetstar is so cheap! $60 a person is an offer i cannot miss.. This time its wasn't just me and hao.. we had the company of Patrick and Jasmine too!

When we were there last year, we stayed at Sugar Palm resort at Kata beach. Most tourist visiting Phuket would choose to stay at Patong beach as it is where all the action is. Everything is more abundant and more happening at Patong beach: water sports, food, entertainment, nightlife.. but we prefer to stay at Kata as its quieter and the beach is nicer..

This time we stay at Sugar Palm Grand Hillside... Its rainy season so we chose a hotel on the hill top just in case of flood and tsunami (touchwood!).. The hotel was great!.. clean, big rooms, beautiful scenery, fireworks can be seen at night.. the only problem is we had to climb up and down everyday to get in and out of the rooms... the problem is solved with a buggy!

We went snorkeling after that.. the boat was stopped too near the shore where there were many rocks and corals.. and unfortunately, Patrick and Jasmine both suffered cuts on their feet.. Patrick's had very serious and deep cuts on his sole.. the blood from his sole was free flowing.. and hao was stung by a sea urchin.. i was the only one who escaped unscathed as went up the boat first to fix my snorkel mask..

Last stop was R & R on the beach and more snorkeling..
needless to say none of us went snorkeling..

it costs us 150 baht for 2 beach chairs..

The whole trip was not a waste as Patrick caught 7 hermit crabs
and smuggled them into Singapore. His new pets..

The next day, Pat and Jas went for the ATV, elephant ride, white water rafting program.. the price was a little too steep so we decided to give it a miss..

Hao has been talking about going to the shooting range so we went..

I had to sit behind as i was not shooting..
It was so loud that ear muffs were not enough..

We ended up at Tesco for lunch and lunch for the fishes..

he enjoyed it thoroughly..

i was shit scared.. very ticklish

The last day was spent wondering around Patong..

Genting next then Melaka then JAPAN!!!.. Yes! my Hao bought us air tickets to Japan in Nov!!..

MoRe MoRe TeA InN

It has been 10 years after i watched this movie and since then i have been wanting to visit Redang.. I FINALLY made it here... Its a birthday treat to myself too..

We took the 930pm bus on 1st July and we were the only ones on the bus!!.. at first i was a little worried as there was only 2 of us and 1 bus driver.. i cannot imagine him driving for 10 hours straight and not fall asleep.. he picked up another driver across the causeway so i felt a little more relieved.. Felt like a VIP man.. private bus and driver haha...

The bus driver drove really fast and in 9.5 hours we were at Terengganu..

It was only 7am and shops were open already

We had to wait till 930am for the ferry to depart..

Found a small coffee shop down the street and settled down for coffee..

Each resort had a dedicated jetty..

Finally it was time to board and move off!.. The ferry ride was another 1 hour!.. Its really quite a pain getting to Redang..

We finally managed to check into the rooms after lunch.. the whole trip had alot of waiting involved..

We went snorkeling after that as our package included 3 snorkeling trips.. there are no pictures as i was afraid i would get the camera wet or it would get stolen.. but the main thing about Redang is the beautiful beach..

There is a live band that plays till midnight there and there is even a KTV and disco... i did not get the chance to visit the ktv and disco though..
