BlUrT BuRp...: 2008

The next day after sy and munky's wedding. we set off for Perth.. and no THIS IS NOT THEIR HONEYMOON! We reached Perth at 7am and collected our rented car at the airport..

This is a trip about eating, drinking, smoking, bbqing, shopping!!

Our trip started really well.. we had a FREE upgrade to a Mitsubishi 380! It's a 3.8 litre car with V6 engine.. much bigger than what we rented the Hyundai Elantra.. and of cos the happiest person of us all was munky..

It was so early in the morning and everywhere was not open yet so we decided to go to King's Park for a morning walk.. The weather was nice and cool

We only walked a while and decided that was enough exercise for the day.. It was time for shopping! so we went Harbour Town.. After filling up our boot with lots of shopping, we checked in to our apartment at Joondalup.. its about 20min from the city but its really nice..

we only saw the bibs after we finish all the food.. so must at least put it to some use..

by 5pm all the shops were closed so we had to head back..
the only shops open after 5 was the supermarket so we went there to get food for a bbq!

Sausages in aussie are very long.. hmmm...

We took a drive up to Margaret River.. while munky drives, sy sleeps and shaun entertains munky, i was enjoying the scenery outside..
It was really a long drive...

and he is really really damn suay.. gueess wat after he took over....

The Police was damn GL la..
Police: Do you have a reason for speeding..
us: eh... no..
Police: i am asking the driver.. please translate to him if he does not understand

Shaun: eh... no...

then he walked back to his car.. which was when i secretly took a picture of him..

there he is bending by the police car writing our fine...

his partner who was hiding behind a tree ambushing drivers..

i think its really not fair as the speed limit kept on changing on the freeway who the hell will take note of the speed limit? unless i am staying there i might know but it was our 2nd day in Perth!! I am a tourist there!!.. sigh the fine came up to a hefty amount.. get ready...

there were so many things along the way into Margaret River to see.. Chocolate factory, cheese factory, nuts and cereal factory, stable and many many vinyards!..

we went looking for our resort to check in first and its very very nice!!.. we can see the Indian Ocean from the balcony!!..

after lunch we drove around looking for the attractions we wanted to visit but it was almost closing time..

Since everything else was closed, we went to the beach.. the wind was so strong and chilly.. only took a few pictures and left cos it was too cold..

We only stayed 1 night at Margaret River.. so it was time to head back..
before that we visited more wineries!

after all the drinking, it was time for brunch.. Jie Fu told us to go Goodfellas but it was only open for dinner so we settled for Dome...

After breakfast we started out long drive back to \Perth City.. this time the girls drove to make sure we were not going to get anymore fines..

After more than an hour of driving, Sy was tired so we stopped for me to take over..

The 2 boys were dying for rice so we ended up having chinese food for dinner at Chinatown..
we were too hungry and forgot to take any pictures of our food haha..

We joined a day tour to the Pinnacles.. we had to reach the bus station by 715am.. imagine how early we had to get up and drive to the city! But we spent 3/4 of the whole day sleeping cos the travelling time from 1 place to another was damn long..

waiting for the bus to leave.. so many pple were late..
we could have slept at least half an hour more lor...

Our first stop was a national park.. it took us 2 hours to get there.. i had a good nap on the bus

Next we set off for the Sand dunes! it took us another 2 hours!
we spent most of our time on the bus!

we reached Perth city at only about 730pm.. and we had a parking ticket.. another $60.. and they say Singapore was a FINE ciity..
we went looking for food and we ended up having Vietnamese..

This day was dedicated to Shopping!

We first went back to Fremantle for lunch.. we literally stood outside the cafe we wanted to go and waited for them to open at 12..

it was really really good..

outside Fremantle market where we went to buy fruits but did not get any..

After Fremantle the boys dropped us off at the City to shop and pay our bloody $700 fine.. while they went to the casino to try their luch but they were refused entry cos they were wearing slippers.. they ended up wasting $2 each on a peep shop..

we were tired after shopping and had coffee at King's street..

We had to try the food at Ciao Italia as sy said it was damn good.. we went there on Wed but it was so crowded so we tried our luck again.. this time we were smarter and we called for take away..
the place is really popular and it was very very crowded..
